Place is actually really great. Had two people I know pretty closely come here and they came out with the doctors giving them advice on how to handle certain conflicts within themselves. Would highly recommend. The staff is also very friendly and understanding.

i came here for 7 days after an attempt, it was really nice and relaxing and just personally a good environment. there was one nurse who was really rude and one of the boys was having an episode and she told him he was being annoying and to “ just stop” and another nurse made us sit in our rooms for three hours because she had a headache and didn’t feel like watching us. ( we sat in a big open room on couches and colored , watched movies , or went outside during this time) and she didn’t want to just sit and watch us all. obviously we were upset and she even came into mine and another girls room and asked us if we “ had a problem with her “ for making us go to our rooms. overall it didn’t really help with a lot, it is a nice place to go and talk about everything and have a safe place but i can’t see how it works in the long term .

I went there for a total of 6 days, and it was pretty good, but they are pretty strict about a lot of things.

My therapist recently suggested that I go inpatient at Rolling Hills Hospital. She called that evening from her office, and they said I could come on in. I didn't get there until 1am but they still welcomed me. Once on the detox unit, they did ask a lot of personal questions, some that had indeed already been answered for insurance acceptance, but I consider that a plus. They needed to know these things for my proper treatment. I saw a caring, down to earth psychiatrist everyday, and had an option to see a medical doctor daily as well. Rolling Hills has a music therapist, art therapist and other staff that hold groups encouraging development of new coping skills and positive feedback concerning how to deal with all aspects of life that could lead to negative thoughts and actions on my part. There are rules that might not make sense at the time, but you have to imagine, they're there for a reason. We, as a society, have made it a habit to blame others for our negative actions and thoughts. This hospital is extremely proactive, using past occurrences to make necessary steps to ensure the safety of its patients. I would like to personally thank the nursing staff and techs for the understanding and patience you all had with me. Thank you for loving your job and what you do. I am a life that has changed with all of your help. I strongly recommend Rolling Hills Hospital as a primary tool to step into recovery.

I went here in high school and I have to say it changed my life completely — for the best. I would recommend anybody living with mental illness to go here. As a teenager I didn’t see the importance of my parents bringing me here — I honestly hated it at first but I’m sure glad they did that for me.

I was treated very good here. Out of all my inpatient stays, this one did the best for me. I learned a lot from the counselors and the Dr in charge of my care. The Dr was very patient with me and actually listened to me. We worked together to find the best medicine regiment for me. You learn in the day classes and take notes. The nurses are very caring. I sometimes became very bored in the evenings in the community room with only coloring to do. But over all, if I have issues again, I hope to be able to return here for treatment.

I personally had a great experience here, despite my initial resistance to being there (as many do). Dr. Ferri was very straightforward with me, which I appreciated very much. The staff was amazing, compassionate, interpersonal, while maintaining professionalism. All the nurses and techs I interacted with were very friendly. Jordan, Peyton, and Angela are the ones that come to mind right now; I would like to thank them personally for being so accommodating and kind to me. The outpatient programs are where I had the most authentic interactions with other people. The therapists, nurses, and Dr. Moturi are extremely helpful and caring. They really go above and beyond to make sure you, as an individual, feel worthwhile. Overall, if you or a loved one wants to seek help, this would be the place to go to. The only thing I could encourage others to keep in mind is that the nurses only interact with you in a certain way because that is the protocol they must follow, otherwise they will treat you very well. Finally, make sure you or your loved one gives the appropriate information to people "on the outside," otherwise they will not be able to reach you (due to the hospital's rules and regulations for the patient's safety).

I suffer from head pains and couldn’t get in to see a specialist for several months. My parent told me about this facility and that they could prescribe medicine. I ended up staying overnight for six days. I learn several amazing coping skills and felt great on exiting the program. The nursing and doctors took time and listened to my situation. They did more in six days than Vanderbilt ER, neurologists and my PcP have done in years. This is a great facility.

First, inpatient. In the hospital, I spent 7 days. I was admitted by my therapist. Everything that staff and nurses did for me was with caution. They kept aware that I was not in my best mind when I was admitted. The nurses were very caring. They really tried to connect with us (one even watched TV with us and would have normal conversations with us during commercials, the connection was beautiful), they tried to make sure they understood what was happening, and they treated me with utmost respect. The group therapists were also amazing. They do monitor every 15 minutes. Even when asleep. However, for me, this was not a problem. I was in the hospital to be kept safe, and to be treated. The staff know what they're doing. I always received my medicine on time. The rules were really not that bad. Some of the things that the nurses and staff have to do made sense to me every time, because it is their job to ensure safety. (Also, for a hospital, the food was fantastic, and the people who worked in the cafeteria were also very friendly and caring.) Secondly, Partial and Outpatient. This was the best part of my hospital stay. This last for about two months (depending on the situation), and it's every weekday from 9-2, then step down to 9-12 when they believe it is time. This is completely optional, but it's HEAVILY RECOMMENDED. Group therapy was the part that helped me get on my feet so much easily than expected. I learned how to make it in the world, how to change my mindsets, how to improve my relationships, and how to be a better person in general. I, and everyone I was with, learned so much. The support from the whole team is so encouraging and beautiful. I left feeling like a brand new person, with real life smarts and knowledge that some few people even know. I recommend this hospital to everyone. It changed my life, and I believe it would change anyone's life who really pays attention, and works very hard on the work. It is hard, but this hospital made me believe it is possible.

I had a great experience with Rolling Hills and their IOP program. The physicians, staff and nurses are very nice and accommodating. Both the Hospital and after-care staff did a great job. I would highly recommend their IOP program to anyone looking to better themselves. I learned a lot and left feeling extremely motivated.

I went in for adolescent inpatient treatment. The staff treated me with respect, the group therapy was super helpful, the food was great, and I got to see my psych every day. The MHS there were great people who really wanted everyone to get better.
